Ecopoetry: A Discussion and Generative Workshop

Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 6:00 PM until 7:00 PMEastern Standard Time UTC -05:00

Ecopoetry: A Discussion and Generative Workshop

If you love words and love the world, ecopoetry is a wonderful way to explore the beauty and complications of both. Together, we'll look at and discuss some contemporary examples, then, through a guided writing exercise, try our hand at it! You'll be invited to explore, wonder, and share in a discussion-based craft class. Have a pen and notebook at the ready!

Links to broadsides we may discuss (click image for pdf). We won't have time for all, but together we'll choose two. Professor Elizabeth Bradfield, Associate Professor of the Practice of English and the Co-Director of the Creative Writing Program, is the author of five books of poetry, most recently Toward Antarctica and Theorem. Co-director of the Creative Writing program at Brandeis, she also works as a naturalist and runs Broadsided Press.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
